The perfect way to spend an 85 degree, low humidity Saturday in Jax. Sitting under a patio umbrella drinking something fruity and alcoholic. Apparently it's even better when you go on a weekend jam packed with other festivities going on, because then it won't be too crowded. We scored a table along the outside fence, which was perfect. If I turned one way I had an uninterrupted view of the ocean, with the sandbar hiding the masses of people. If I turned the other way I could do some pretty entertaining people watching. We stayed for several hours, drinking the afternoon away. Our refills came in a timely manner, everyone was friendly and they have a large cooler available in the middle of the patio for getting your own glasses of water.

We spent a few thousand dollars for a wedding at this establishment. The bouncer was rude and would not let one of our guests in for personal reasons that were beyond unprofessional. We were in the bar for a few hours before closing, walked out for a few minutes and tried to come back 15 minutes before closing and they would not let us even use the restroom. Neither the bouncer nor the manager were helpful or understanding. Choose a different establishment if you want to avoid issues and unnecessary conflict.

Lemon Bar is my favorite place at the beach to grab a drink outside on a nice day. The only problem is that it is everyone else's favorite place as well and gets swamped when the weather is nice. Lemon Bar is an outdoor bar right on the water in Atlantic Beach. It's adjacent to the Seahorse inn but I've never understood if there's any affiliation. If you are having any trouble finding it, just follow the steady stream of bicycles coming down 1st Street like ants to an ant hill. The crowd is mostly 20 somethings wearing varying amounts of clothing. Lot of bathing suits and flip flops. When the weather is nice Lemon Bar is basically standing room only, and the waitstaff struggles to keep up. Drinks are generally pretty cheap. They run specials every day. It's owned by the same people as Ritz and Brix so the pricing is in the same range if you are familiar with those places. The bartenders actually do a really good job of contending with the masses. They are battle hardened veterans after dealing with these crowds, but they are personable and professional and turn out drinks quickly. The food looks alright but I can't say I've eaten here. Everything on the menu is in the $7-8 range. It's mostly fried. Think coconut shrimp baskets or chicken tenders and fries. Parking sucks in AB, so bike if you can.

This place is very good to go to with a larger group to be right near the water. We were there with a large group in town for a wedding and the large outdoor area was perfect for all of us. Decent drinks but this place is definitely all about the location being right on the water. If I'm ever back in the JAX area I would hit this spot again for drinks.

Great place for Sunday funday. Drinks are different from every other bar at the beach. Frozen drinks at good prices. Must try orange dream if you enjoy orange sherbet. Would recommend this place to network with millennials.

Wish California has beach bars... Or a bar with super cheap flavor Barcardi rum! Each shot of Barcardi (any flavor) was only $2.50, and you can have that added to any non-alcoholic mixes! The boyfriend and I decided to each get 2 shots in each of our drinks and played around with different mixes. Not only was it fun pretending to be bartenders, but getting drunk off of our two shots per drink made it even funner. Anyone visiting Jacksonville has to come check out Lemom Bar during their happy hour for delicious and cheap drinks!!

I shall start off with a quote. "What you want to do is order them naked and then get the medium sauce on the side. That's really good. That's what I do." Seems simple enough, right? You ask a server what's good and she gives you a specific answer like that. In this case, she was referring to the chicken fingers. What you don't want to hear is: "Everything is really good." Because we all know that everything is not actually really good. Anywhere, that is. There is not a somewhere where everything is really good. And we can appreciate a focused recommendation from the server. Good enough, right? Let's move on. The chicken fingers are actually really good. They're really good if you get them exactly the way the quote up top says to get them. Some of the servers here can be kind of snotty. It's no trouble though. For $2 Red Stripes on tuesdays and a beach bar setting, we can deal with a little bit of snottiness. It can be a bit charming even. It really can. Especially here in the Beaches where everyone is exceedingly nice...it's a welcome change of pace. The booze is cheap here. That also makes for an environment where less friendly service is ok. Think about that. It makes sense. Some other little specifics: 1. It can be pretty loud. 2. Unlike other locations in this neighborhood, there seems to be a heavy tourist element to Lemon Bar. And by "tourist element" I mean fat white trash who clearly do not dwell here with the rest of us. 3. Sometimes they'll give you a free coozie or a sticker or a hat or some obnoxious plastic necklace to wear. If it's free, it's for me. 4. Sometimes a cop stands at the door next to the ID checker. Take that for what you will. 5. It's right around the corner from Pete's. So, well, there's that.

Giving this bar five stars because I am a frequenting local, however... On this evening I visited with a friend, hoping to find the same familiar atmosphere we have come to know and love. Tonight, I am sad to say that I was sorely disappointed. Frozen drinks and frat boys were found in their usual numbers, however-- there were no roaches. Whenever I've come for my usual peach schnapps on ice in the past, there have always been plenty of rogue swashbuckling roaches mingling on the patio. Their company makes nice for a newly-divorced man as myself, and I had promised my friend this same atmosphere only to be let down. I will return again, as I find that Lemon Bar has the most schnapp-y tasting schnapps, but next time, there better be roaches.

I really enjoyed The Lemon Bar. I had heard positive reviews from locals so I figured we should check it out! It's right next to the beach which was so pleasant and most people were gathered outside. They had plenty of seats by the bar but also had tables set up. When we were there, they were setting up for the after party of a wedding, so you know they'll be accommodating for all kinds of experiences! They serve sailor jerry rum here, which in my experience, isn't common at many bars. I was thrilled that they did! The service is great and efficient despite it being a relaxed environment, and everyone around us was kind and pleasant. The Lemon Bar is a great place to hang out at with friends, and has a pretty backdrop for a date. I met a lot of cool people in their 20-30s and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. If you're in JAX, check it out!

I've been told this is the only place in Jax where you can (legally) drink on the beach. I'm not sure if that is true but if you want to basically be on the beach and enjoy some fun, tasty drinks (at a decent price), Lemon Bar is the place to do it. This past weekend I also tried the food and was pleasantly surprised. I had their Mayport shrimp, which came with fries. I got them grilled and it was a nice little buffer for some day drinking.

Cool bar with outside seating. Younger crowd but not too boisterous. The house drink, "the lemon drop freeze" or whatever was great, but their beer selection was paltry. Great spot to hangout with a group of friends.

First time goin for my birthday and it was so much fun! Great drink specials and drinks! The bartenders were so funny and cool. I loved the atmosphere. Will defiantly be going back.

A staple on the Atlantic Beach side of things, The Lemon Bar serves up cheap drinks (almost) right on the beach. Rum runners are solid, generous happy hour, cucumber mojitos- good stuff. Food is run of the mill fried stuff, but it can soak up the booze demons well enough. Expect an attractive crowd with a laid back vibe.

Beautiful location that's directly on the beach. We were meeting friends out for drinks during happy hour and were impressed. Although the food menu is limited they make up for it on the extensive drinks menu. Our server was excellent and suggested a special drink that was delicious. Very quick and constantly checking on us. Great atmosphere to chat with friends catching up on the latest. The employees are ambassadors and hold high regards for establishment. Very professional. When at Neptune Beach, must check them out.

Lemon bar is the only place in Jax beach where you can LEGALLY hold a drink while your feet are in the sand. That's the primary attraction of this bar and they reason they'll never close. No one can compete. Over summer on a nice, warm day this place is packed out. It's a great place to meet people for a drink, but I wouldn't plan on staying long. it can be difficult to get another round when its two people deep all around the bar and the server's struggling to stay afloat. I can't really speak on the food. From what I've seen it looks decent. Mostly fried things like shrimp and fries. As for the prices, you really can't beat this place. They have the same strategy as Ritz. Cheap drinks lure them in and the ambiance keeps coming back. It's also worth mentioning that this place is seasonal. If i'm not mistaken, it closes around Thanksgiving time till around March, or whenever the weather warms up enough. 4/5 will take my shirt off and sip a gatorade in the sun again. Pro tip: This place usually carries a bunch of free swag from key chains to coozies. Don't be afraid to ask.

Quick Summary: A great location right on the beach, the drinks are pretty standard and all in cans. The crowd is more reminiscent of my post-college (immediately post) days. It's nice being able to feel the ocean breeze while you're having a drink. The open patio here is perfect for that. But the place has a bit of a divey feel to it, and the crowd is definitely out for a party. The crowd can get pretty packed, making competition for a table pretty tense. That may not be a bad thing for your tweens - needing to stay agile and mobile - but once you've progressed beyond there... a seat for drinks is a necessity. A decent place for a drink and to meet a few people, but definitely suited for a crowd that's looking to be a little more mobile, than a group looking to catch up on the past 10 years.

The lemon bar is tons of fun! Great atmosphere and tasty but inexpensive drinks. Great view of the ocean and the breeze makes it thoroughly enjoyable. Outside tables are awesome for people watching.

Not family friendly at all!! Said my military ID could be faked.. Lol what a joke!! Made me take my sunglasses off all to tell me our kid can't go in.. Don't waist your time.. These people need to gt it together especially at the beach where tourists come ! Def not impressed

Nothing beats a beautiful day at the beach and lemon bar. The bartenders are always nice and the Bacardi specials are phenomenal.

Astonishing. An experience I'll never forget. This was the slowest, most disorganized food service I've ever experienced. I understand that this place is known as a bar. But don't offer a food menu if you can't serve it! We had about 18 people sitting together at hightops, outside enjoying the evening air. It was a slow Tuesday night, less than half full. We all ordered food, along with drink reorders, on one pass by the waitress, Sounds good, right? The drinks came, and then, over the course of about AN HOUR AND A QUARTER, food arrived, one, two, or three at a time. Five to ten minute gaps between servings. No one could believe it. One of the guys ordered four servings of chips for the group. They arrived last, after all the food. When he enquired part way through, he was told that they were "ordered last" therefore they'll be brought out last. This was not complicated - burgers, coconut shrimp, fries, simple food. It's beyond me how a well-established bar/restaurant can screw this up so bad. By the way, the food was good.

I feel the need to update my review. My friends & I go to the lemon bar at least once a month in the spring & summer time. But as of recently, the appeal of it has gone away. Their drink specials are fine, but always the same thing. The food is still horrible. They should just stick to alcohol. And the service...well that's my main reason for updating my review. You have to fight for attention with the bartenders at the bar. If you're not super hot, your boobs aren't hanging out or you're loud, then they will take others' orders before you no matter how long you've been standing there trying to get their attention. Table service. The girl asked for our order which were a few drinks and a few water. She took about 20 minutes or so. She finally came back with the alcoholic drinks but no water. When asked, she just says if she has time she will get them for us. WTH??? IF YOU HAVE TIME? So if you didn't we wouldn't get our orders? Is that how it works. B, you better make time. It's your job! Then she came back to our table again maybe 20 minutes later and has the audacity to ask if she could get us anything else. We then asked about the water. She then replied nonchalantly,"oh, you can get them yourself. We have this orange water cooler in the middle of the bar and there's water in there." Then why the heck did you write down our water order and not tell us this an hour ago??? Seriously, Lemon Bar...water cooler?

  • Brittany M.

Service sucks. Came for drinks on a beautiful saturday and servers incompetent - forgot silverware for our food -went to get it never came back, went to other tables and continued service these girls need a clue on service, remembering, and consolidating steps.

I love drinking here on the patio. The frozen drinks are the best!

Wish I found this earlier. You can drink a beer with your feet in the sand and see the ocean. Great outdoor bar and cheap prices.

  • Debbi C.

The server was very rushed and rude. The runners were both kind and friendly but the server acted as if it was a problem to help us. Round 2 in 2014: Seated at 8:12pm to give it a 2nd try... 3 waitresses passed us by... 8:22 got service. Drinks were bad- $9.50 each for bad mojitos and yucky wine. I think this is just for a younger crowd. Sigh- we must be getting old. Sadly, the service was lacking still and we didn't have good runners to make it better like last time. Won't try for 3

    (2)
  • Ryan D.

To me, I don't see what the big deal is about Lemon Bar. Maybe it's just me, but it just seems to be another outdoor bar that just so happens to be sitting right next to the beach! Yeah drinks are pretty cheap here, but the few times i've been here I never once thought the drinks were strong.

  • Georgia M.

The $4 margaritas were decent and I liked the atmosphere. The reason for the three stars is because the guy at the door -almost- wouldn't let one of us in with our dependent military I.D. without the sponsor present. Really? He let us slide because it was a weeknight. We are all 40-ish and don't usually need our I.D.s to get in to any place, but not accepting dependent military I.D.s is ridiculous regardless.

My luck to find the perfect lemon colored stationary swivel chair only to sit butt smack in a puddle of post torrential downpour. It left me wet and I had no choice but to kick off my leather loafers and dig bare foot into the sand beneath me. It was Thursday and the chalkboard signage read Happy Hour all day...Close till? Gotta love that! Draft beer was $2 but I was thirsting for something less belchy and super cold. I asked the bartender for a recommendation and she told me I looked like a Spicy Sailor Colada. I had no clue what that was but totally agreed. She was awfully nice. It was a tasty colada and that dark rum floater really hit the spot. I enjoyed a couple rounds, made small talk and played catch up. Man I loved that gentle breeze and enjoyed the sounds of jovial passersby frolicking along the beach nearby. The perfect ending to a 12 hour work day.

  • Lin G.

If there's one thing that's better than a cold margarita on a warm day, it's a free cold margarita on a warm day. As soon as we walked in some girl offered to buy us drinks. I dunno. Some sort of alcohol promotion thing. No questions asked. Pour me a strong one! And get one for my friend too! Most of the tables are outside and the place butts up against a small pool surrounded by a two story motel. Interesting set up. We came on a Monday afternoon and the place was not so crowded but according to local legend, it totally gets packed. Cheap drinks and a fun atmosphere.

4 star location. Could be alot more than it is. A little tacky but fun none the less. Go for the drinks not the food.

I feel very lucky to have recieved the tip on Lemon Bar. The Tiki style bar is right on the beach. All workers/mgmt are friendly and welcoming. I had a chat with one manager who spoke with much pride about their custom specialty drinks and he wasn't lying. They are unique, strong, and cheap. I highly recommend checking this spot out!

    (5)
  • Jen B.

I love Lemon bar! Located right on the beach, this has to be one of the best beach hangouts for drinks that I know of. I've only been during the day but they are primarily a bar. They don't sell food and let you bring in your own, or order from near by. On a hot summer day their frozen drinks and beer are the best. Get there early if you want to secure a table but 2pm they are really packed. REALLY PACKED. I think this is a great place to meet friends and just catch up and hang out in the sun. Bring sun screen and enjoy! I found it harder to find the first time around...it's located in the back of the pink hotel on Atlantic. There is nearby parking but, again, come early for that to be optimal. Frozen drinks run about $7 to $8 but on a super hot, humid Florida afternoon a few is totally worth the price.

    (4)
  • Nucky T.

This is the best place to drink on the beach. The bar staff was helpful and they have decent drink prices. The place is right on the beach. U can't beat it!

    (5)
  • Steve A.

I'm giving you a five star rating for atmosphere and great service alone. The burgers are great. The drinks are icy cold.

    (5)
  • Ariel T.

One of the few places that are oceanfront...I love it because of the atmosphere and the fun vibe. The drinks are great and the staff is super friendly. Its very mellow and lots of locals ride their bikes to the lemon bar.

Imagine yourself sitting outside, by the beach, at a bar, just enjoying the sunshine and locals while sipping on a cool beverage. Well, this is a reality at the Lemon Bar. I will return. Park by Cherry Street.

  • Adam K.

Don't expect to get a lot of people in here that are remotely drunk. My wedding party got turned down by an arrogant, rude doorman in the back, when we all had 14 rooms there! First off it was to dark to even see the people coming in to notice having red eyes..... and after I made myself known as the groom and knowing workers there to get some credibility he started to reject people to rub it in. Thee worst experience, ever. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, we had 30 folks there and they couldn't let everyone in. And we weren't even drunk because we were only at a 2 hour happy hour beforehand. Some of these rejected friends then tried the front brightly lit door by the policeman and doorman and were let it, proving the back doorman just wanted to be a ?$!!@... This is why we stayed at this hotel, convenience/the bar and was disgraced. I have been going here for 8 years, know the bartenders very well, some good friends, and the managers, but never plan on stepping foot back in there again.

    (1)
  • Megan B.

My favorite bar at the beach! Overlooking the ocean and attached to a no-frills hotel, the Lemon Bar is a meeting place for locals and a must-visit for tourists. My favorite frozen drink is the Lemon Bar Freeze which is made with ice cream mix. The bartenders work hard and are friendly. The food is decent (but who goes there for the food). Stop here after a hot day at the beach.

  • Dani V.

Eh, I don't love this place. I never suggest going there on my on will, I usually only go if it's a weekday and because we have other friends that are already there. However, if it's on a weekend I definitely will NOT be there.. otherwise I'd probably be thirsty and stay thirsty. Once you get in there, it's hit or miss. Sometimes the bar tenders just walk in circles, sometimes they're super attentive, sometimes the servers don't come back to your table, sometimes they're on point. I think the communication with the servers and bussers could be better. Bussers are real quick to come around take away your empty cups and cans but then your server won't come back to see f you need another drink. Maybe the bussers could let the servers they cleared a table in their section? Stick to beer while you're there, liquor drinks are a little juicy (more of the mixer, not enough liquor).

    (2)
  • Diana M.

I totally agree with one of the other Yelpers on the rude doorman. We had a horrible experience here last weekend. It's a bummer that they have jerk-offs working here because their space is incredible right along the beach. We will never come back which sort of breaks my heart but I will not patronize a place who treats their customers the way we were treated.

The Lemon Bar is the quintessential beach bar of the Jacksonville Beaches. Well, other than the ever so swanky Ponte Vedra Club, which requires loads of cash to get into [or a wonderful friend or relative who has a membership and will take you with them!] But if you aren't able to afford a yearly membership to the PV Club, then this is the place to get a cold cocktail by the water on a hot summer [or winter] day. The Lemon Bar is attached to The Seahorse Inn, another quintessential Jacksonville Beaches spot... notorious for its pink exterior and kitschy decor [actual seahorses, seashells, etc etc etc] and it's prime location in Neptune Beach. But, you don't have to be a guest at this gem of an Inn to check out The Lemon Bar. All are welcome! This place is an great place to stop in at after a few hours in the hot sun and the hot hot sand. In this scenario, I always opt for the frozen lemonade ice cream concoction [&7 - I can't remember its exact name, but if you spout off those descriptive phrases they will know what you mean]. It is soft, cold, sort of like an icee, sort of like a milkshake, sort of like some lemonade, and definitely tipsy approved. The Lemon Bar is also a great place to check out at night, though, as well. It's only open 'til 12am, so don't make this your last stop of the night. They make any great drink you can imagine [pretty much, although don't let your mind run wild]. They also have a temporary bar at the back of the patio if you are looking to avoid the lines [although there are never really terrible lines]. You can enjoy this place in nothing but a bikini, or in a short minidress and a pair of heels. It's awesome. It's on the beach. Enough said.

My first time at the lemon bar was awesome! Tuesday glow party was so much fun, it was laid back and chill. Music from dj Kevin tos was awesome and the pineapple mojito was sooo yummy ,thanks Brian ! I will definitely be back :)

I feel like I am getting too old for this place, being in my early 30's, BUT I DON'T CARE! The Lemon Bar is amazing and I hope is never changes. One of the best beach bars I have ever been to.

great little place still one of the beaches HIDDEN treasures I guess On the beach so breezy and nice open air seating circle bar so easy get a spot inside hotel patio area so can stumble into your room and not drive home if needed be. Decent priced drinks and sometimes free cozies Night time light torches sometimes Pool light up at night I like it

Love getting mango gatorades here on sunday afternoons. Refreshing and you still get your buzz on. On Sunday Funday, this is the hot spot! I went this past sunday since it was opening weekend for the summer and it was packed!

Ahh, Lemon Bar. I can smell the sunscreen and taste the Lemon Freezes just thinking about it. While the other reviewers are right that the staff can be a little, er, bristly, and the crowd is usually thick, I still find myself returning year after year to this Neptune Beach staple. You can hang out in various stages of undress, from your Friday night cocktail dress to your teeny tiny Brazilian-cut bikini, which naturally makes for unparalleled people watching. On special days like Dancing In The Streets, they expand the party out onto the lawn of the Seahorse Motel and add an additional bar, DJ booth, and cornhole. Fun! Wish they did that more often. Although it's usually a battle royale to snag a table, once you do the service is efficient and you won't have to get up to order from the bar. Despite it's downfalls, Lemon Bar is one of the most famous bars in Jacksonville with good reason. One tiny suggestion that would make it even better... live music!!

  • Jeremy S.

Ok, so my view might be skewed due to the fact that I've been to some awesome beach bars on the west coast. Lemon Bar is a hip place to have a drink with an "almost" view of the water. The crowd can be from 21-80, but more of a young crowd with Tattoos galore! It's the place to be seen in Jax/Neptune beach. The signature lemon drink is a fun way to start your weekend boozing session. They do have cornhole set's if you are interested.

  • Stephen V.

The Lemon Bar is the best place to drink at the beach. It's location right on the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean makes it prime for anyone walking, sunning, or swimming at the beach to come on in for a drink. Of course because of this most bar goers are in beach attire (yay!) Lemon bar is totally outdoors so prepare for that. You can burn pretty easily when drinking outdoors. You can always spot a few drunken lobsters in the crowd. Wear sunblock! The crowd skews younger, though some older folks do come out. Very laid back crowd. The drinks are strong. Good for most, bad for some.

Awful service. Didn't take our order for 20 minutes. Rude. Unfriendly. Limited menu. Sand dunes blocks view of ocean. Attached to divey motel.

Yea, we like this place. What's not to like being on the beach with the wind blowing through your hair and a stiff drink in your hand??! It is attached to the Seahorse Inn. Which, thank god, has come a long way baby. When we roamed the beach as teenagers the Seahorse was known as the place people could rent a room by the hour, if you know what I mean?! The crowd is mixed in ages and all laid back. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced.

The Lemon Bar is ALL about location. One of the very few beachfront bars in the Beaches area. A great place to enjoy a cocktail and the ocean breeze. I personally enjoy it more during the "off" season when it's not so crowded. I have mostly always had horrible service here - but of course keep going back because of - once again - LOCATION.

    (4)
  • Laurie D.

The Lemon Bar is the best way to enjoy the beach and a good cocktail at the same time. Part of the bar is resting on the edge of the dunes, which does seem wrong. The frozen cocktails are a little on the weak side, but they are very inventive concoctions. On Thursdays, they have $2 drafts; I had the Sweetwater Blue. The best time to go is at twilight since it is not too hot and the view is amazing. At night, it has a really mixed crowd of young and middle-aged patrons. I find it disappointing at night since the view is gone.

Great Taco bar addition;) needs more tables, but fast service, cheap drinks and amazing ambiance!! A true locals spot;) Love this place...

  • Lindsay L.

In an recent trip, they didn't let me bring in my Starbucks drink. I was only halfway done drinking it. The bouncer said they had a policy about outside beverages. I didn't ask about food - so you might want to ask before buying something to bring there. At least the bouncer was apologetic and not rude about it.

  • Max J.

Lemon bar is a great location, it's a bar on the beach. Full of young and old alike. To be completely honest there isn't much to say. It's a bar, its on the beach, and that's about it. Great location but a beer is a beer. 2 stars because it is average, the only thing it has going for it is the location. If you don't need to have you XX on the beach, then skip.

Best place to drink in Jax. I don't think you can legally drink any closer to the beach in NE Florida than LB. Watched the space shuttle launch from Canaveral one night while hanging out with friends. It was one of those "life is damn good" moments; drinking with great friends outside with great weather, the smell and sound of the ocean, America doing what we do in other frontiers, and every patron proudly snapping pics and sending to their friends and family. They have some cheap cornhole boards if you want a little activity. They close earlier than most bars due to the hotel up front needing to limit noise for their guests. Also, closed during the winter.

Great place to drink while at the beach. Unfortunately you can't really see the water because of the dunes, but having the sand under your feet is good enough. It can get pretty hot, so seek a seat with an umbrella, it definitely makes a difference. Great drink specials.

The Lemon Bar is part of the Sea House Oceanfront inn. It is everything that a casual, fun, beachfront bar should be. The drinks are good...the location is terrific...the crowd is fun and not TOO young :)

This place is awesome! The bartender from our hotel actually recommended it. It was so nice to sit outside on the beach and have a cocktail! Perfect for sunset or just day drinking or even late night partying. I had a refreshing cucumber lemon drink and my mom had the sweet lemon basil. We both liked the cucumber one the best! I definitely recommend coming here. The door guy and our server were really sweet! Good music and good vibes..We will be back for sure!

My suggestion for The Lemon Bar and it's associate establishments is to reevaluate their liability insurance. For my friend to come visit from Europe and be turned down because she only has her government issued ID is appalling. In my opinion, she is intelligent and chose to leave her passport safely at home. Lets be honest, Jacksonville overall is not the best or safest place to carry around your valuables.

This place is awesome. One of the very few actual oceanfront bars at the beaches and it is always a good time. Bartenders and servers are very helpful, and there is almost a special going on that is unbelievable in a location as nice as this. The only knock against this place in my experience was a time over a busy summer where my table (higher male to female ratio apparently lol) wasn't given an umbrella while the all-girl table next to us was, even though we asked 30 minutes before them. Can't say I'm surprised, and the atmosphere here is too fun to get upset about something dumb like that.

The lemon bar is the perfect spot after a long bike ride or just a quick walk up from the beach. It's relaxed, fun, and they play great music. Also, Jarrod is the best bartender!!!

Oh many a Sunday afternoons drinking to oblivion at this beachfront establishment during summertime frolics. This is the perfect place to come to grab a few drinks, order some apps and waste the day away. The atmosphere is super chill and you can come in your bathing suit or summer attire. Either way, the prices are reasonable and service is consistent. On occasion, this place can get pretty packed, but I've always managed to find a table and chairs at this charming beach staple called The Lemon Bar. Always a great time! FYI: They close during the cold season and open back up after a few months.

Decent view, decent drinks, decent food options for a bar, and decent bar prices. The servers were pretty good/friendly so that was a plus. Overall the place is decent for just having a low key hang out with friends for an hour or two. I liked the large frozen drink menu option, but I wasn't in much of a drinking mood and only had the rum runner. It was ... decent. Try to grab a table under an umbrella!

One of the better bars I've been to in Jacksonville Beach. It had a laid back ambience, just a few steps from the beach. It is an outdoor bar, so dress accordingly! There was a mixed crowd; tourists, locals, and college students. Drinks were very cheap, which is always good!!

Ahhhhh, sitting on the beach, drinking a cool fruity alcoholic beverage... this is the life right? Maybe some fried nibbles, pop music blasting, and tourists all covered in oil... Wait, that last part is a Jimmy Buffet song. But it's all true. Came here after wanting some sand on my toes and a beachy breeze, with the earnest attempt to get some work tasks knocked out.... whuuuuuuuuut? Lol, when I was carded at the door, the guy said, "well that's a really big purse!" (referring to my computer bag.) It was around 4:30 on a Wed. I think, and the place was already pretty packed. We snagged one of the 2 tables left open and proceeded to order said fruity rum loaded cocktail, fried bites and did manage to get a few things done, all while getting a little sun in the process. We did order some fries and mozzarella wedges, the wedges were passable, but come on now, we didn't really come here to eat. They took the edge off the stiff drink(s) and we waited for some salty fries to help out as well. And waited. And waited. By the time we were finished, we couldn't find our server anywhere (she was pretty busy, so that's cool) and paid at the bar. She never entered our fries to order, so at least I didn't have to pay for them! If you are looking for a place to party on like it's Daytona Spring Break, you should definitely come here! (Or, as I mentioned, just want some hooch and a beachy breeze.) A beach community needs places like this thou, Jacksonville's Wet Willies. :)

Easy, peasy, LEMON, squeezy. I don't know why that phrase comes to mind every time I think about the Lemon Bar, but it just does. Maybe it's because it's just such an easy place to be. It's a beaches mainstay and definitely the place to be seen any day there's nice weather. It's just too bad that they're seasonal because I know a couple days in February/March that I would go for a nice cocktail on the beach to escape my worries of the day. Beachy cocktails, fried nibbles, and vacationers. It's like Jacksonville's own little replica of Daytona right in our own backyard. Won't pass up an opportunity to put my toes in the sand any day.

We love the Lemon Bar as it is the perfect mix of inexpensive drinks, food and entertainment. What entertainment you may ask, well, the best of the beaches are always on display. The food is good to help you with the other liquid items you consume and you just never know what you will see here. There is $5 parking in front of the Seahorse Hotel, well worth it when you could spend hours looking for a parking spot and again, the people, the beverages and they sights are well worth the attendance here at The Lemon Bar.

To me, I don't see what the big deal is about Lemon Bar. Maybe it's just me, but it just seems to be another outdoor bar that just so happens to be sitting right next to the beach! Yeah drinks are pretty cheap here, but the few times i've been here I never once thought the drinks were strong.

In an recent trip, they didn't let me bring in my Starbucks drink. I was only halfway done drinking it. The bouncer said they had a policy about outside beverages. I didn't ask about food - so you might want to ask before buying something to bring there. At least the bouncer was apologetic and not rude about it.

Julia is the best bartender at the beach! Always a great time with great drinks, food, and atmosphere!

Great bar literally a few feet from the beach. Always enjoy getting drinks here with friends. Good times. Tucked away in Atlantic and could be hard to find if you've never been there before.

I feel very lucky to have recieved the tip on Lemon Bar. The Tiki style bar is right on the beach. All workers/mgmt are friendly and welcoming. I had a chat with one manager who spoke with much pride about their custom specialty drinks and he wasn't lying. They are unique, strong, and cheap. I highly recommend checking this spot out!
